UAL CORPORATION

Performance elective led by Ana Laura

Me and Chloe decided to work together, taking on a current popular theme, brought to my attention by the recent 2 days of protests at LCC and fellow student Sam Craven with his protests at the open days at Camberwell.
Using facts that Sam Craven obtained by his legal rights of public information,

'16 courses cut at LCC alone and made 183 staff members redundant'
'£6.6Million tax exempt profit in 2007/2008 and are forecast to make £3Million this year'

We wanted to take this information out of the area it effects (Camberwell and Elephant and Castle) and show it in a new environment (Speakers corner) to a new set of eyes, in order to make a wider audience aware of the financial issues of UAL.
We agreed that writing this information (with chalk) would leave a semi-permanent message in order for more people to see it over a period of time. As well as a great get out cause not to speak in public.

Job Done..and I hope more people aware of UAL's desire to gain profit and overlooking the things which are essential to preserve Arts education.
