Turning sound into image

I've already looked at turning sound into image when starting the dictionary project. And this is the kind of thing i wanted to make....and i found it on Its Nice That blog.

You just open it up and speak into the laptop speakers and it makes lovely patterns in response to the sounds you make. Nice.
